Vidyavardhaka first Grade College was established in the year 1978 under the auspices of Vidyavardhaka Sangha (R). This College is affiliated to the University of Mysore, MYSORE, under section 12(B) and section 2F of UGC and is recognized by the Government of Karnataka.
The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) programme, with an annual intake of 60 students, offers a broad-based education in the humanities and social sciences. The programme is designed to develop critical thinking, effective communication, analytical abilities, and a deeper understanding of society, culture, and human values. It provides students with comprehensive knowledge across various disciplines, enabling them to pursue diverse career opportunities and higher studies. Through a combination of academic learning, co-curricular activities, and skill development initiatives, the programme prepares students to become responsible, informed, and socially conscious citizens.
Eligibility: Candidates who have passed the two-year Pre-University Examination (PUC) conducted by the Karnataka State Pre-University Board or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto are eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) programme. Students from any stream—Arts, Commerce, or Science—may seek admission subject to the rules and regulations in force.
