Vidyavardhaka first Grade College was established in the year 1978 under the auspices of Vidyavardhaka Sangha (R). This College is affiliated to the University of Mysore, MYSORE, under section 12(B) and section 2F of UGC and is recognized by the Government of Karnataka. The Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) programme was established in 1979 and has been one of the institution’s flagship courses, with an annual intake of 240 students and an additional 15% seats as per applicable norms of UoM, Mysore,. The programme provides a strong foundation in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Taxation, and Business Management. It aims to equip students with the knowledge, analytical abilities, and practical skills required for careers in business, banking, finance, entrepreneurship, and higher education. Through a balanced blend of academic learning and practical exposure, the programme prepares students to meet the evolving demands of the corporate and professional world.
Eligibility: Candidates who have passed the two-year Pre-University Examination (PUC) conducted by the Karnataka State Pre-University Board or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto are eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) programme. Students from Commerce, Science, and Arts streams may seek admission subject to the rules and regulations in force.
